About the Teacher: My name is Katelyn Dunbar and I am your son or daughter's new Kindergarten teacher. I know this is a big step for both you and your child as they are starting their first year in school! So to make you feel a little more comfortable, I will tell you about myself. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. I have known since the time I was a child that I wanted to be a teacher. However, my only sibling is 11 years younger than me, and seeing her grow to the 4th grader she is now is probably the main reason I chose teaching as my carer. I studied Early Childhood Education at University of Central Florida which led me here today. I am very excited for this year and I hope everyone else is too. Feel free to contact me whenever needed.
